Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) is excited to offer a new Unified Champion Schools® teacher’s and students resources designed for remote learning and play. The variety of at-home resources below can help complement virtual lessons and keep students remaining healthy and fit while typical activities are suspended.

FITNESS BASED ACTIVITIES

WWE School of Strength: WWE School of Strength is an interactive online platform that encourages athletes to participate in a fun and engaging training program that they can do in the comfort of their own homes.

Fit 5 is a plan for physical activity, nutrition, and hydration. It can improve your health and fitness to make you the best athlete you can be.

CATCH Health at Home Program: A free program. Can be accessed through an online portal or Google Classroom that contains a variety of lessons on health, nutrition, mindfulness, and more.

Virtual Workout Training Program (Special Olympics Colorado): A virtual training program that includes a workout calendar, sports drills, and workout videos for everyday of the month.

 

YOUNG ATHLETES

Young Athletes At Home: Comprehensive Young Athletes guide that involves flash cards, movement videos, and an at home toolkit.

Family Flash Cards: Fun and engaging flashcards featuring each of the individual activities and at home equipment modifications for families to use at home to run Young Athletes.

Young Athletes Videos: Videos demonstrating the individual Young Athletes activities.

Track & Field Resources: Contains a comprehensive list of links to resources and videos for Track & Field specific training activities. 

Sports Drill Books: Drill books from Special Olympics Northern California for soccer, basketball, and track & field. Each drill book includes basic sports drills, sports rules, and a glossary of sports specific language

Track & Field Training Drills: Track and Field training drills from Special Olympics Colorado.

Generation Unified Stay At Home Resources: Participate in Unified Generation’s weekly activities, and “at home” challenges!

Get Into It Active: Get Into It® is a set of free, K-12 service learning lessons and resources designed to advance student’s civic knowledge and skill development, while promoting acceptance and understanding to motivate youth to become advocates for and together with all people.
