Return-to-Play Dates

Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) is excited to announce that we will be returning to play on a limited capacity beginning this month. We will be hosting individual bowling competitions and a Sports & Fitness competition. Due to state mandates, all participating athletes must register in advance—no walk-ins will be allowed to participate.

The health and safety of athletes, families and coaches is our No. 1 priority. To register for upcoming in-person events, and learn more about required safety protocols, please email

Fall Community Events

We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of services to our athletes. Our sports training and competition opportunities provide athletes of all ability levels the chance to play and be part of a team. Skills like being a good teammate, winning with grace, and encouraging others are all skills that carry over into their every day lives. We're in our schools!  Through sports, we are bringing special education students and general education students on the same playing field, promoting acceptance and respect for all.

We offer year-round training and competitions in 10 sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The skills our athletes gain on the playing field carries over to the playing field of life.
The Schools Partnership Program is a unique education program in K-12 schools. It unifies students with and without disabilities through sports, promoting acceptance and respect.
Healthy Athletes
We believe that promoting regular health care to our athletes and encouraging a healthy lifestyle is vital for helping our athletes feel good about themselves.
