Sports Manager - Las Vegas, Nevada

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to be responsible for promoting athlete growth within the State of Nevada. Start new teams, manage existing teams, recruit and supervise coaches, organize league play, and ensure all athletes are receiving a quality training program. This is a full time position requiring local/regional travel and evening/weekend work. Minimum requirements include the following:

· Bachelor's degree and two years related experience
· excellent written and verbal communication
· computer skills - MS Office
· excellent interpersonal skills
· ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
· ability to manage one's time effectively - to prioritize and to complete diverse assignments concurrently when working on a deadline
· ability to work independently

Development Manager - Las Vegas, Nevada

Special Olympics Nevada is a year-round sports program for 2,826 children and adults with developmental disabilities. We provide opportunities for training and competition in 11 different sports, which are 100% free for our athletes.

We are currently seeking an individual to work with our Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) program throughout the state of Nevada. LETR is an existing structured group of law enforcement officers that raise a significant amount of funds for our athlete programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for supporting the Gala and Golf Event Fundraisers. This position requires strong and proven fundraising skills complemented by strong volunteer recruitment and management skills. The candidate must feel comfortable making presentations to sponsors, the general public and volunteers. Local travel and evening/weekend work is required. Bachelor's degree and demonstrated proficiency in the following skills required: fundraising, event planning and management, critical thinking, organizational, public speaking, interpersonal communication, computer, writing, training, and customer service.
