2008 SUMMER GAMES IN RENO, NEVADA

The 2008 Summer Games are fast approaching! As many of you know, we are moving the games to Reno this year! Athletes and coaches will be traveling from all over Nevada and staying at the dorms at the University of Nevada - Reno for the weekend's events. Opening Ceremonies will kick-off the Games at the Downtown Reno Ballroom on Friday, June 6 at 7:30 PM. Athletes will march proudly with their delegations as they prepare for the arrival of the torch. On Saturday, June 7, athletes will be competing in aquatics at the Lombardi Recreation Center and track and field at Reno High School. Competition will begin at both venues at approximately 8:30 AM. Competition will come to a close on Saturday, June 7 at 7 PM at the athlete dance and Closing Ceremonies inside the brand new UNR Student Union Ballroom.
