Year Round Special Events & Fund-raising Activities
Actual Run: In conjunction with State Summer Games each year; final leg of the Torch Run will take place in Reno, Nevada on Friday, June 4, 2010.
The mission of the Nevada Law Enforcement Torch Run, in partnership with our communities, is to support Special Olympics Programs through fund raising and public awareness, while enhancing the quality of life of our athletes.
Over 500 members of law enforcement agencies from Federal, Military, State, County and Local agencies participate in the Torch Run campaign. It is a year round fund-raising campaign that culminates every year at the Special Olympics Nevada Summer Games in June.
